David: I just bought your back country skiing book - it is great. I strive to do some of these trips in the next few years the easier terrain initially, mind you. I work at the New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket www.neoc.com - it's close to Katahdin. One of the things I have been working on is drawing a wider picture of the area than what people sometimes view. I am curious to know if you would be willing/interested in doing a guest blog/article on back-country skiing on Katahdin? we would of course link to your book or anything else, perhaps send it out to our email list and so on. I am not interested in making it sound easy or anything like that (and I know you would not do that anyway), a number of friends of mine are winter rangers in the Park. The idea of winter camping and back-country skiing in the park is something I have been looking to cover for a couple of years now. My email is marketing@neoc.com. Anytime this year would be good.
